In the 1990s, Chemically bonded phosphate ceramics (CBPCs) were created by Argonne National Laboratory/University of Chicago as a durable binder for radioactive and hazardous wastes, with a projected lifespan of thousands of years. Initially, these ceramics were primarily used in nuclear plants and military contexts. However, Tony Collins, a serial entrepreneur, became interested in their potential after reading Dr. Arun Wagh's book titled "Chemically Bonded Phosphate Ceramics." Collins subsequently collaborated with Argonne, guiding the research towards commercial applications and acquiring the commercial technology rights. Through ongoing research, this collaboration eventually resulted in the development of EONCOAT.

Founder of EonCoat
Tony Collins, CEO of EonCoat, is an experienced engineer who previously founded and led Turbine Generator Maintenance, Inc. (TGM), expanding it to customers in 47 states and 15 countries before selling it in 2007. A Georgia Tech mechanical engineering graduate, Tony began his career at Allis Chalmers as a Field Service Engineer. At EonCoat, he oversees operations, research, and supports applicators worldwide, leveraging his hands-on approach and commitment to improving coating safety and efficiency.

Our engineering team answered the relentless demands for a Corrosion Under Insulation Coating with extreme temperature ranges of -256°F to 842°F (-160°C to 450°C). We designed EonCoat CUI Coating to protect insulated tanks, pipelines, and other temperature-divergent assets.
CORROSION COATING

Our flagship product and still a perennial customer favorite, EonCoat Corrosion Protection, meets the need for a wide range of carbon steel assets in various industries. This coating is used for atmospheric applications in ambient temperatures and is usually paired with a topcoat for aesthetics.
