Q: What is EonCoat?EonCoat is an innovative provider of industrial coatings that offer superior corrosion protection for a wide range of applications.
-
Q: What are the benefits of using EonCoat products?EonCoat products offer several advantages including rapid curing times, excellent adhesion properties, resistance to harsh environments, and long-term cost savings compared to traditional coating systems.
-
Q: What Are The Most Common Applications For EonCoat? The most common applications for EonCoat are in the oil and gas industry. (carbon steel) 1. Storage tanks, internal, external, and roofs top. 2. Pipeline exteriors. 3. Oil platforms and mining equipment are common. 4. Power plants. 5. Marine terminals. 6. Process equipment..
-
Q: Can EonCoat Be Applied Over Existing Rust And Corrosion? With EonCoat, only a NACE 3 / SSPC-SP 6 / SA 2 commercial grit blast cleaning is typically necessary. If no mill scale or old coating are present it is possible to coat directly on existing rust as long as it is tightly bonded.
-
Q: Does EonCoat Need A Top Coat?EonCoat does not need a top coat to protect from corrosion. However, topcoats have many benefits. Durability, color, and physical protection, to name a few. EonCoat requires a top coat in highly acidic and extremely alkaline environments.
-
Q: Can EonCoat be used as an internal coating for storage tanks?Yes, EonCoat can be used as an internal tank coating, especially for oil-based products, as it provides good corrosion protection. However, factors like pH, temperature, and flow rate need to be evaluated carefully before application. EonCoat can also work for potable water tanks and water based products . Discussing each project in detail is important to ensure proper performance of the internal coating.
-
Q: What industries does EonCoat Technology serve?EonCoat serves various industries including oil and gas, marine, infrastructure, and manufacturing, providing effective solutions for corrosion prevention and asset protection.
-
Q: Does IZOTECK offer technical support or consultation regarding EONCOAT?Yes, IZOTECK offers technical support and consultation services to assist customers with product selection, application guidelines, and project-specific recommendations.
-
Q: What makes EonCoat different from traditional coatings?EonCoat utilizes a unique method of protection through chemical bonding by alloying the steel and forming a top ceramic coating technology for increased durability and protection layer that reduces corrosion maintenance costs.
-
Q: What are the Pros and cons of applying EonCoat over surface corrosion?EonCoat will often stop the corrosion and convert it to Iron Phosphate unless the corrosion has already passed FE3O4. Once corrosion reaches this point, it becomes less reactive and should be grit-blasted. The real problem is that you don’t always have the best profile for the best bond on existing rusted surfaces. Also, the surface of the steel might have old paint. Assuming you have a great profile, no paint and the rust is under FE3O4 with the right amount of EonCoat DFT (20 mils, 500 microns) The rust staining can still come through the coating and some pitting is also possible. However, the corrosion will not spread and will eventually become stable. Higher DFTs will help this process. Flash rust after a blast is not a problem at all. This is the best type of corrosion for EonCoat to be sprayed over. It is the most reactive surface. For best results, Grit blasting to the deepest possible profile is recommended. Nothing lower than 3 mils or 75 microns and, of course, spraying 20 mils or 500 microns all at once for the optimal chemical reaction on the steel
-
Q: What Does The Preparation Process Entail?Only a NACE 3 / SSPC-SP 6 / SA 2 commercial blast cleaning is typically necessary. There is no need to blast to NACE 1 or 2 since oxidation on the surface allows for the best chemical reaction.
-
Q: Is EonCoat environmentally friendly?EonCoat is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Our coatings are non-toxic, contain no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), and contribute to reducing environmental impact during application and throughout their lifespan.
-
Q: What Spray Thickness Is Recommended?Corrosion Protection Coating And CUI Coating: 20 mils. (500 microns) Weldable Coating: 40 mils. (1000 microns)
-
Q: Do I Need Special Equipment In Order To Apply EonCoat Coatings?EonCoat is a two-component system applied using a High pressure plural spray pump with stainless steel lowers. The coating uses a 1:1 ratio and sprays using standard plural spray equipment that mixes either in a remote mix manifold close to the gun or in the spray gun. This is the high volume set up. The process requires no heating equipment. For lower volumes of EonCoat, you can use a dual-component cartridge spray gun. We offer all EonCoat products in 600mL Cartridges (300mL part A & 300mL part B).
-
Q: If Overspray Happens On Adjacent Surfaces, Can It Be Easily Removed?A small amount of overspray can be removed with a pressure washer. If a large amount has bonded, grit blasting might be necessary.
-
Q: Is Overspray A Problem?EonCoat is classified as dry fall so material that doesn’t go directly onto the substrate immediately after leaving the spray gun will generally dry before it floats anywhere else.
-
Q: How Should Left-Over EonCoat Be Disposed Of?Mix equal amounts of part A with part B to get an inert ceramic rock (MgKPO4.2H2O) which can be disposed of anywhere you would dispose of rock or other inorganic materials.

Q: How We Can Recolor The ISOLLAT Materials? The standard color of the ISOLLAT material is white. Coloring can be done by mixing acrylic-based paint with concentrated pigment. We can achieve the color by using acrylic-based intense paint concentrate, which is available in 20ml small packages in the market. During the liquid insulation application, uncolored ISOLLAT is applied to the layers via airless spray. The last layer is applied with colored ISOLLAT.

Q: How Can We Solve Quickly and Easily The Problem Of Fluid Leakage In Hot And Cold-Water Pipes, Steam Boilers And Related Lines After Isolation? It is very difficult to detect fluid leaks that occurs when insulations made using classical insulation (Fibre glass and other) materials. Since the fluid leaks from the pipe/tank or from the environment, it will be trapped between the cladding sheets and the asset. During such incidents cladding and insulation materials are removed until the problem is detected, and professional support is required to restore them after the repair. Moreover, leakage of fluids like water causes corrosion on the pipes/tanks which shortens the life span of the asset and also destroys the thermal insulation system. Apart from this, the insulation material absorbs leakage water/fluid and loses its insulation property and increases the high heat transmission coefficient by 4-5. Even if this conventional isolation (rockwool, fibre glass material are dried, some physical deterioration (absorption, dispersion and other) occurs, and then heat bridges begin to form in the pipe.
-
Q: SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMWhen ISOLLAT EFFECT material is used there is no problem like that. It does not require cladding at all. When the polymer material is in direct contact with the pores on the surface of the pipe, it prevents the pipe's contact with water, steam and air and also it provides corrosion insulation. It is an elastic material in the rate of 200 %. In case of liquid leakage in the installation, the liquid cannot flow between the pipe and the insulation material. The liquid comes out by swelling in an area which is nearly 1-2 cm or by penetrating that area. The repair process is extremely simple. The leaking area is cut with a utility knife, opened and then cleaned. After the mechanical repair (welding and other), the area which is damaged is completed by applying the ISOLLAT material with a brush without any support or help.
